Delhi – Agra – Jaipur – Jodhpur – Rohet Garh – Sardar Samand Palace – Karni Kot – Kotri – Muthana – Kumbhalgarh - Deogar – Udaipur

Day 01: Home – Delhi (BY flight)

Fly for Delhi. On arrival, meet assist and check into the hotel.

After breakfast, city tour of Delhi. Overnight in Delhi.

Day 02: Delhi – Agra (By Surface) (235 Kms / 4.5 Hrs Appx.)

In the morning, after breakfast drive to Agra.

On arrival, transfer to hotel. PM: City tour of Agra.

Overnight at the hotel in Agra.

Day 03: Agra – Fatehpur Sikri - Jaipur (By Surface) (250 Kms / 05 Hrs Appx.)

In the morning, after breakfast drive to Jaipur via Fatehpur SIkri.

On arrival, city tour of Jaipur. Later, transfer to Hotel.

Overnight at the hotel in Jaipur.

Day 04: Jaipur – Jodhpur (By Surface) (324 Kms / 6 Hrs. Appx.)

In the morning after breakfast, city tour of Jaipur.

Later, drive to Jodhpur. On arrival, check into the hotel.

Overnight at the hotel.

Day 05: Jodhpur – Rohet Garh (By Surface) (40 Kms / 1 Hrs. Appx.)

In the morning after breakfast city tour of Jodhpur.

Later, transfer to Rohet Garh. O/N Rohet Garh

(Rohet Garh is an old family property of the Thakur of Rohet, and now converted into a Hotel with beautiful rooms surrounding a lawn , Swimming Pool, health club etc. The Garh is walled all around and set within a village in the semi-desert country.)

Day 06: Rohet Garh

Ride 12 Km through scrubland past the hamlets of the Bishnoi tribe. You will see herds of Blackbuck & Chinkara. Return to Rohet for Lunch.

Overnight at the hotel.

Day 07: Rohet Garh – Sardar Samand

AM Ride again through sandy tracts and scrubland, passing quaint hamlets of mud-huts occupied by the various colorfully clad tribes of the desert. (28 Km ride)

NOON: Lnch at the splendid Sardar Samand Palace, property of the Maharaja of Jodhpur, situated at the edge of a huge lake, on a hill overlooking miles of open country around you. PM Relax in the luxurious Palace with its comfortable rooms, Pool on the terrace, and watch the bird life on the Lake. O Overnight at the hotel.

Day 08: Sardar Samand – Karni Kot Sodawas

Ride off after an early breakfast, through open scrubland, along dusty trails, passing through villages upto Utwan. (22Km). Here we stop for a picnic lunch, prepared hot on site.

PM We start getting into greener tracts, skirting the huge Hemawas Dam, until by sunset we reach Sodawas Kot. (23 Km). Overnight at Karni Kot - Sodawas- A country mansion belonging to Th. Sunder Singh of Sodawas.

Day 09: Karni Kot Sodawas – Kotri Castle

AM Another long day-another early start. Ride through Farms and bigger villages. You watch the landscape change from dry thorny scrub of the first two days to taller trees and rich fertile farmlands. You will see the multifarious use of oxen in ploughing, carting and irrigation. Arrive at an Old Shiva Temple for Lunch.( 18Km Ride )

PM: Ride on and we start getting into low hillocks and open grassland, and by evening we are at an ancient 200 yr old castle in the middle of a small rustic shepherds village. The castle has been provided with modern amenities.( 20Km)

Overnight at Kotri Castle. Th. Mahendra Singhji is from the nobility of the House of Ghanerao.

Day 10: Kotri Castle – Muthana Bird Lake

AM Ride off after breakfast to the Muthana bird lake, and then dismount at Sadri to transfer to Jeeps to go to Ranakpur. Arrive for lunch at The Maharani Bagh Orchard Retreat. (25Km)

PM: Drive by Jeep (4 Km) to visit the famous Ranakpur Jain Temples circa 1462 AD. The huge structure is marble, and intricately carved deities and Apsaras adorn the pillars, domes and walls of this awe inspiring structure. Return to the horses. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 11: Muthana Bird Lake – Kumbhalgarh

AM: We now ride along the periphery of the Kumbhalgarh game reserve through the Aravalli Hills until we come into a valley inhabited by the Tribal Garacias. Lunch at Thandi veri crocodile dam .(18Km Ride)

PM : Now the tough part of the ride. We climb 2000ft in 3 hrs , through the Kumbhalgarh Wildlife Sanctuary to arrive at The Aodhi - Hotel .( 12 Km Ride )

Later visit the famous Kumbhalgarh Fort built 1462AD by the Maharana Kumbha as a retreat for the forces of Mewar. This Fort has a history of many battles and remains as probably the only unconquered Fort.

Overnight at the hotel.

Day 12: Kumbhalgarh – Deogarh – Udaipur (By Surface) (64 Kms/ 2 Hrs. Appx.)

In the morning after breakfast, drive to Udaipur via Deogarh.

Visit the palace in Deogarh. Later drive to Udaipur.

On arrival, transfer to hotel.

Overnight at the hotel.

Day 13: Udaipur – Delhi – Home (By flight)

In the morning after breakfast, city tour of Udaipur. Afternoon, transfer to airport for flight to Delhi.

On arrival at Delhi, transfer to Indian Restaurant for Dinner.

Later, transfer to airport for flight back home.
