Places Visit: Paro – Thimpu – Punakha – Thimpu – Paro
Day 1 Arrive Paro - Thimphu
Arrive paro, meet-assist and transfer from paro airport and drive to thimphu through the beautiful valley of paro and thimphu.
Day 2 Thimphu
Visit the national library, institute of traditional medicine and tashi nencha studio where traditional folk and mask dances are learned and practiced. Afternoon drive to simtokha dzong. This is not only the oldest fortress in bhutan (built in the 17th century) but it also houses the school of buddhist studies.
Day 3 Thimphu
Visit the school of thanka painting, memorial chorten and jushina paper factory. Visit the thimphu town. Evening drive to sangaygang for a great view of thimphu valley.
Day 4 Thimphu – Punakha – Thimphu
Day’s excurtion to punakha, the old capital of bhutan. Drive through dochula pass where one gets an enchanting view of the himalayan ranges. Visit punakha dzong & wangdue town. Drive back to thimphu.
Day 5 Thimphu - Paro
Drive to paro. Visit the ta dzong - which houses the national museum. Afternoon visit the kichu lhakhang courtyard - this is one of the oldest monasteries in bhutan - dated 7th century ad. Visit a traditional bhutanese farmhouse and in the evening visit the paro town.
Day 6 Paro - Departure
After an early breakfast, drive to the paro airport for flight to next destinations.
