A fine stretch of beach coastline spread in about 30 kms along the Western coast of Goa by the Arabian Sea features a beautiful beach named Baga Beach lying 10 km west of Mapusa. Beginning at Fort Aguada continuing till Sinquerim, the beach is an extension of Calangute beach only.

The nearest airport to the beach is at Dabolim, which is 29 kms from Panjm from where the beach is just at a half an hour's drive. The nearest railway station at Karmali is merely 11 kms from Panjim. About ten minutes from Mapusa, and thirty minutes from the state capital the beach overlooks the Arabian Sea.

With a very narrow line of difference between their boundaries, the Clangute and Baga beaches can only be treated differently in terms of the scenic beauty. The far Northern end of the Baga beach is still more varied and unspoiled as compared to the congested center of Calangute Beach.

A perfect retreat for the loners, the beach offers extremely peaceful environs due to its isolated location and scarce means of connectivity to the main town. An ideal spot for water games and fishing, the beach is quite popular amongst the Western tourists.

Despite its isolation, the beach takes good care of your taste buds by offering a wide array of Swish Pizzas, Espresso Coffee and a traditional platter of Goan seafood.
