Day 1: Reaching Darjeeling

Ghoom Monastery: Ghoom is a town located 2 kms from Darjeeling. Ghoom is the highest railway station in the world. It has a monastery called Sakaya Monastery which has some of the rarest Buddhist manuscripts. The 4.57meters high statue of Maithreya Budhha (The Coming Buddha) is the major attraction of the Ghoom monastery.
Batasia Loop: Batasia Loop is a railway loop an interesting engineering marvel. The Toy train takes a unique turn at this loop. This is also a very good market place to buy bags, purses and decorative items at reasonable prices made by the local ladies.

Dhirdham Temple: located near the railway station, Dhirdham Temple is a reflection of Katmandu's Pashupatinath temple.

Day 3: Pelling
The next destination in Darjeeling-Sikkim Tour is Pelling. Nestled at an altitude of 2150 meters, Pelling is 115 kms from Gangtok, the capital of Sikkim. This monastery was built mainly for the 'ta-sang' lamas by Lama Lhatsun Chempo. Pemayangtse Monastery is famous for the seven-tired wooden structure of 'Santopalri', Heavenly Palace of Guru Rampoche.
Kechapalri Lake: Kechapalri Lake is a holy lake for Buddhist located in West Sikkim.

Day 4& day 5: Gangtok

Day 6: Kalimpong

Transfer to the nearest railway station Siliguri or the nearest airport Bagdogra. from Siliguri, a city in Darjeeling district. It is one the most important transportation hubs in the north-east with two important railway stations -Siliguri Junction and New Jalpaiguri. In Siliguri there are regular bus services from/to Kolkata in India, Dhaka in Bangladesh and Bhutan. Bagdora Airport is just 14kms from Siliguri from which connects the city with various Indian cities and Bangkok by air.
