Vivekananda Rock Memorial : It was built in year 1970 amid the sea that comprises a meditation hall. A ship service from the shore takes you to the place where Swami Vivekananda sat on a long meditation.

Mahatma Gandhi Memorial : Like Swami Vivekanand rock memorial, it also has immense cultural significance. This renowned memorial was constructed in 1952 on October 2.

Government Museum of Kanyakumari : It is located on the Gandhi Memorial Road that was built and developed in 1991. Beautiful paintings, sculptures and portals dating to the ancient period can be found here. There is also a huge collection of gold and silver coins here.

Padmanabhapuram Palace : It is very close to Thuckalay, a town in Kanyakumari. The palace was built of granite, and spread across 4 km at the foothills of the Veli Hills.

Vattakottai Fort : The fort is the perfect example of art that was constructed on the sea board by Captain Lannoy.

In addition to this, the sea beach and a number of other market places are also the centre of attraction in Kanyakumari. Today, the city is fast emerging as a well developed tourist place.
