Chennai Travel Guide      

Chennai, the gateway of Southern part of India and the capital city of Indian State Tamil Nadu, is one of the four metropolitan cities of India. The city is also an educational, cultural and commercial hub of southern part of the county. This cosmopolitan city is full of attractions and prime locations. Film City: A most wanted contest with film producers of the South, it is also a popular tourist spot.

Ripon Building: It has a 132 ft tall tower and a mighty clock 8 ft in diameter. Currently, it is the headquarters of Chennai Corporation.

Government Museum: This Museum is value appointment that has a fine archaeological section representing all the major South Indian periods including Chola, Vijaynagara, Hoysala and Chalukya.

Vivekananda Museum: The Vivekananda Museum on South Beach Road is situated in a construction previously known as the Ice House that used to stock up the gigantic ice blocks transported from North America.

Development Centre for Musical Instruments: You will find frequent antique and contemporary Indian musical devices exhibited here.

St Andrews Church: The imposing blue dome is bedecked with gold stars.

Shri Parthasarathy Temple: Enthusiastic to lord Krishna, it is the oldest existing temples in Chennai that was built in the 8th century by the Pallava Rulers.

Kapaleeshwarar Temple: Shri Parthasarathy Temple is dedicated to lord Shiva. It displays the architectural elements like gopurams, mandapams and a tank.

Holy Cross Church, St.Thomas Mount, St. George's Cathedral, Descanso, Velankanni Church, Big Mosque, Thousand Lights Mosque, Sri Guru Nanak Sat Sangh Sabha, Jain Temple, Bah'a'i Centre, Horticultural Gardens, Nageswara Park, Vandalur Zoo, Light House, Pancha Mandapams, and the list goes on.
